Stop Paying for Leads.
Start Owning Them.
You're paying $40+ per lead on Angi. Competing with two other contractors for the same call. Watching your ad budget disappear into Google's pocket. There's a better way.
Learn moreYou're renting your customers.
And the rent keeps going up.
Lead costs keep climbing
Angi and HomeAdvisor used to charge $15–20 per lead. Now it's $40, $60, sometimes $80+. And they sell that same lead to your competitor down the street.
You're always competing
Every lead goes to 3+ contractors. You're not buying a customer — you're buying a chance to race to the phone. First one there wins. Everyone else loses their money.
It never stops
Turn off the ads, the leads stop. Turn off Angi, the phone stops. You're on a treadmill. No matter how much you spend, you never build anything that lasts.
Build a pile of dirt.
Here's the difference between renting leads and owning your marketing: Every blog post, every service page, every piece of content on your website is like adding a shovel of dirt to a pile. It stays there. It compounds. Six months from now, that article about "signs you need a new water heater" is still bringing in calls — and you didn't pay a dime for that lead.

Building Something New
I'm not going to show you a wall of logos and pretend I've been doing this for twenty years.
Here's the truth: Sites On Call is new. I started this business because I watched too many contractors get ripped off by agencies that promised the world and delivered a template.
I'm building this the same way I'll help you build yours — by doing the work, tracking the results, and being honest about what's happening.
Right now, I'm looking for 3 contractors willing to be founding clients. You get my full attention and a significant discount. I get real case studies with real numbers. We grow together.
Spots are limited because I'd rather do great work for a few people than mediocre work for many.

How I Think
I write about contractor marketing because I actually think about it. Here's how I approach the problems you're dealing with.
Contractor Leads: Buy Them, Build Them, or Both?
Every contractor needs leads. But where should they come from — paid services, your own marketing, or referrals? Here's how to think about it without wasting money or time.

I'll be honest with you: I'm not a big marketing agency. I'm not going to promise you'll be on the first page of Google in 30 days. Anyone who tells you that is lying.
What I am is someone who's watched too many contractors get ripped off by lead generation companies and overpriced marketing agencies. I started Sites On Call because I believe there's a better way — building something you actually own instead of renting your customers from Angi.
I'm based here in North Alabama. When you work with me, you're working with me — not getting handed off to some account manager who doesn't know your name. I answer my own phone and I actually care whether your business grows.
This is still a new business. I'm not going to pretend I have 500 clients and a fancy office. But I know websites, I know SEO, and I know how to help contractors stop throwing money at lead services that don't work.
Skeptical? Good. You should be. That's exactly the kind of contractor I want to work with.
Questions you're probably asking
Angi sells the same lead to multiple contractors — you're paying for a chance, not a customer. With your own website, when someone finds you on Google, they're calling you and only you. No competition. No bidding wars. Plus, the content we create keeps working forever. You're building an asset, not renting access.
SEO isn't instant — anyone who tells you otherwise is lying. Most contractors start seeing meaningful traffic growth in 3–6 months. By month 12, you should be getting consistent leads from search. It's slower than buying ads, but those leads are free once you're ranking.
Depends on what you have. If it's decent, we might be able to work with it and just add content. If it's a mess (or built on some platform that's impossible to update), it might make more sense to start fresh. I'll tell you straight up what I think — no upselling just to make a bigger sale.
No. The website build is a one-time payment. The monthly content plans are month-to-month. You can cancel anytime with 30 days notice. I'd rather earn your business every month than lock you into something you can't get out of.
Everything. Your domain name is yours (I'll help you set it up if you don't have one). All the content we write is yours. If you ever leave, you take everything with you. I don't hold anything hostage.
Absolutely. Some contractors just want a professional site and plan to handle content themselves (or just don't want it). That's fine. The website builds are standalone — no strings attached.
Let's talk about your business.
No pressure, no sales pitch. Just a conversation about what you need and whether I can help. If we're not a fit, I'll tell you.
